The New Vision reports that the director of basic and secondary education, Dr. Yusuf Nsubuga said that ICTs should be used to enhance the learning and teaching experience; “there’s no harm in allowing learners to use ICT gadgets as instructional materials. Smartphones are important in sharing knowledge. Banning such things in schools is untenable” Nsubuga said. The director also said that the ministry is developing guidelines on the use of Technology by learners in schools. This will help regulate and cub misuse of this tools for others purposes other than education.
